Our client, a legacy Canadian head quartered organization is seeking a Consolidations Accountant to join their busy team.
You will be a CPA, with 3-5 yrs., consolidation experience in a complex, manufacturing environment. Non-designated professionals with similar experience will be welcomed as well.
This is a busy, high volume environment offering a hybrid work week (2 days remote/weekly), those with strong ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills will be given preference.
Duties will include but not be limited to;
- Working with regional accounting groups/ third party service providers to ensure timely accurate month close
- Responsible for review and close of all subsidiary entities
- Consolidate financial statements of the entity with detailed review of intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Responsible for explaining key variances and movements in balances on the financial statements
- Support with audit requirements and requirements from tax teams (Canada and international subsidiaries)
- Maintain joint ownership of the group chart of accounts
- Work closely with FP&A group on monthly reporting.
- Support of ad hoc requests
- Development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives on financial reporting
